I’m Corinne, your professional and life coach

I’m here to guide you in living more soulfully and intentionally —
to help you align your life with what matters most to you.

Redefining success and
embracing uncertainty

I was raised by the immigrant tenacity. I witnessed my parents making a lot of sacrifices so they can give our family a better life. At the time, I thought a better life only meant getting an education so I can get a good job and pay the bills. Later, I realized it was way deeper than that.

After 15 years, I finally came back home to San Diego. There I was in my childhood home – going on long walks with my parents, drawing pictures of sunsets and flowers with my niece, immersing myself in nature by way of surfing… reconnecting to what really mattered to me.

My body knew it was time to leave corporate but I was scared of throwing away the sacrifices my parents made for me. I timidly shared with them that I’m thinking of quitting my job to rest and pursue a dream.

Expecting my parents to shoot this down and tell me to stick to corporate because it’s “safe” – but instead they loving embraced my dream and said “anak, it’s good that you rest.”

I was finally seeing who my parents were, a couple of kids who went after a dream for a better life. And here they were, encouraging me to go after a better life – which meant a life led by joy and purpose, where I’m able to be authentically me.

So, I borrowed from my parents’ journey of ingenuity, hope, and drive. I paid attention to the direction that life has been taking me all this time, and followed the current. I sought to create a space that welcomed all parts of me and all parts of others.

This all led me to the power of healing through coaching.

Creds

I’ve received my integral coaching certificate from New Ventures West, a year long training program and an ICF accredited institution.

I’ve spent 300+ hours coaching leaders, parents, community organizers, and first-generation professionals from Google, Planned Parenthood, Boston Consulting Group, Ernst and Young, Open AI, Amazon, Reddit, Intel, several start-up founders, medical private practices, and global nonprofit organizations.

I’ve designed and launched learning and development initiatives at Uber and Illumina. There I championed for accessibility to learning resources for all parts of the business, implemented manager programs at a global scale, and had the honor of collaborating with some of the kindest individuals who care deeply about people and learning.

I’ve worked alongside women’s groups to create sustainable income-generating projects in developing countries such as Uganda and Burundi.

I’ve helped marginalized groups gain access to professional development resources in India, Australia, and in my hometown of San Diego, CA.

I facilitate guided meditation and surf lessons, with an emphasis on combining mindfulness and physical activity to promote holistic well-being.

Things and moments I love

And how I bring more joy, authenticity, and meaning (and silliness) in my days

In a past life I was definitely a sea creature.

I love being a kid out in the ocean! Surfing, snorkeling, swimming, body surfing, floating.

Traveling and staying awhile is something I cherish! I’ve lived in Uganda, India, and Australia. And have visited beautiful countries in every continent but Antartica (not a fan of the cold). My dream is to spend more time in the Philippines, to get to know my family there and deepen my connection with the culture and my ancestors.

Community involvement connects me to something larger than myself.

I’m an English language tutor for newly arrived immigrants and teach kids from my old neighborhood how to surf!

If I could have one superpower it would be to be fluent in every language. I love getting to know people and the culture through conversations. Right now, I’m learning Tagalog and have dreams to learn Cebuano.

I have a soft spot for all animals,
big and small!

If you have a cat, dog, iguana, I will stop to ask if I can pet it. (This is not my dog :))

One of my favorite activities is weekend strolls with my parents. They’re enjoying retirement and it brings me joy witnessing my parents and our elders LIVING life.
